Example

Home Automation is already in most homes. You probably use it every morning. One of the more simplest forms of automation is the alarm clock. Imagine using the same concept but add it to a home automation system. When its time to get up, the music source of your choice slowly turns on. Lights slowly turn on. The shower audio turns on. The TV changes to your favorite wakeup channel. The security system disarms. Climate adjusts to a comfortable level. Window coverings open. As you leave for the day, the system can be programmed to turn off equipment not being used and turn down the heat to save energy. All done automatically.

Remote Access

Home automation allows for remote access into the system to see cameras or control lights while away. Say the door bell rings. You can get sent a message on your mobile phone to notify you of the event. You can then use your computer or mobile phone to view the entry camera to see who is at the door and even speak to the person as if you are in the house.

Mobile Phone Notification

Home automation also allows for event notifications by text or email. Say you want to know when the house cleaner arrives. When the house cleaner enters their designated security code to disarm the security system an email can be sent with a snapshot photo of who just entered the house.
